The Spires 9-Hole Par 3 Course

The Midlands’ first American specification 9-hole, par 3 course with rolling terrain and challenging water hazards still proves to be a demanding test of golf and allows members and visitors to play all 27 holes. The perfect course to get started or brush up on your short game.

Signature Holes

The 4th hole offers a lengthy par 3 to a green protected by two large green side bunkers to the right and a green sloping back to front. Out of bounds outlined with a lake to the left of the fairway, is ready and waiting to catch the wayward shot. Better to be short than long, where an awkward pitch shot will be required.

The 9th hole always features prominently on any scorecard and is more than capable of offering up an eagle or double bogey. Longer hitters will have to weigh up the risk and reward percentages of going for the green in two, with a large water hazard running directly across the hole, just shy of the green, with another waiting to catch any long approach shots over the back of the green.

The 10th hole is a true test of all your golfing skill, where a large ditch splits a narrowing fairway in two as it leads up to a blind putting surface. A straight tee shot is key to the success of this hole, with a large lake on the right-hand side and bunkers adjacent to the left. An extra club into the green is a must, with many shots falling short of the slightly awkward positioned green.
